We-Ko-Pa Golf Club is a daily fee golf facility that consists of the original 18 holes, the Cholla Course, designed by Scott Miller and a second 18 holes, the Saguaro Course, designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, which opened in 2006. In addition to the two 18-hole courses, there is a large practice facility and a full service clubhouse. We-Ko-Pa Golf Club has been developed and is owned by the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation and is operated by EF Golf and OB Sports Golf Management.
Located just east of Scottsdale and Fountain Hills, the course is located on land that will never be used for residential or commercial development, yielding dramatic views of the Sonoran desert and the surrounding mountains.

Public Course | Par 71 | 18 Holes
Integrating design elements not commonly found in the desert, the course is built for walking and has more in common with older, more traditional courses where greens are close to tees and the course follows the natural movement of the land. To assist those choosing to walk the Saguaro course manual Speed Carts are available for use. "This piece of land has some very interesting natural movement to it," said Crenshaw of the new We-Ko-Pa course. "I think this golf course will be pretty unique for the desert. People will be induced to play different shots and find solutions to new challenges when playing this course."

Open since December 2001, the Cholla Course at We-Ko-Pa has garnered countless honors and has quickly become recognized as the reference course for quintessential desert golf. Designed by Scott Miller, this 7,225 yard layout was named by Sports Illustrated as one of the 10 best new public courses in the world shortly after its debut. Since then, Zagat Survey 2006-2007 gives Cholla its highest rating among all Arizona courses and Golfweek ranks the layout #2 on its 2006 list of the state’s best public courses. Located adjacent to Scottsdale and Fountain Hills on land owned by the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, We-Ko-Pa (Yavapai for “Four Peaks”) is routed through unspoiled Sonoran desert, free from residential or commercial real estate development. In fact, there is not even an out-of-bounds stake to be found on this pristine course where endless mountain vistas provide the backdrop.
