Off the helm of a recent Washington, D.C. sales blitz, Visit Phoenix boosts its efforts with the recent reorganization of its sales staff.

Julie Nicolazzi, CMP has been promoted from National Sales Manager to Director for National Accounts. After joining Visit Phoenix in summer 2011, Julie quickly assimilated into her role and consistently demonstrated the professionalism and the passion to succeed. In her new role, Nicolazzi’s focus will be on promoting downtown and the Phoenix Convention Center to larger convention customers in select mid-western states along with a targeted focus in Colorado. Additionally, she will bring a renewed focus on soliciting the religious and fraternal market segment in an effort to fortify and stabilize our value periods downtown.

Maria Lane has been promoted to National Sales Manager after a successful year of handling small meetings in the Midwest market. Lane’s key efforts in bringing citywide business opportunities for the Phoenix Convention Center as well as managed team sports sales efforts. Her elevated role will involve a more strategic approach canvassing the Midwest region  identifying large meeting profiles (>126 peak rooms) that well suited for Phoenix’s resort collection.

AJ Altaras has been promoted to National Convention Sales Manager. Altaras’ new role handles the mid-Atlantic citywide market of 1,001 rooms or more on peak. She has been instrumental in executing our recent Resort BET (Buyer Educational Tour), Chicago Sales Mission, Super Bowl planning and various key initiatives this past year.
