The Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau has augmented its national sales staff with two new hires.
Regina Rink is the new director of national accounts and will spearhead the Greater Phoenix CVB’s resort sales efforts in the Washington D.C. market. Julie Nicolazzi, meanwhile, joins the CVB’s staff as a national sales manager with a focus on hotel and resort sales in the Midwest market.
Rink previously worked as a director of sales for Associated Luxury Hotels International, where she represented 130 hotels across the United States, including several in Greater Phoenix. She also has experience with destination marketing organizations, having previously spent two years at the Baltimore Convention & Visitors Bureau. She was a regional sales manager in Baltimore, handling citywide meetings and all leads 500 and above.
A native of Chicago who grew up in the Denver area, Rink is member of the Community Services Committee for the PCMA Capital Chapter in Washington. She is the past chair of that committee and a past board member of the Capital Chapter, and she currently serves on the Corporate Social Responsibility Committees for PCMA at the national level.
Nicolazzi has extensive knowledge of the hotel and resort product in Greater Phoenix thanks to stints in national sales at both the Scottsdale CVB and Tempe CVB. Most recently, Nicolazzi worked as a global account executive for Conference Direct, a third-party facilitator of meeting planning and site selection.
In addition to her sales experience, Nicolazzi spent time as a meeting planner for an international trade association. She is a member of Meeting Professionals International, and in 2002 she earned her Certified Meetings Professional (CMP) designation. Nicolazzi is a native of New Hampshire but has lived in Arizona for the past 22 years.
