Greater Phoenix CVB welcomes positive growth with internal promotions for Kevin Kamenzind and James Jesse, Jr.

 PHOENIX (June 3, 2010) —This June marks a new day for the Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau as we celebrate positive development in the tourism industry with the internal promotions of two significant individuals.

Kevin Kamenzind, former Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing accepts his new position of Chief Marketing Officer. Kamenzind has been with the Greater Phoenix CVB since May 2007 upon his departure from the San Diego CVB where he spent 13 years. In his new role here at the Greater Phoenix CVB, Kamenzind hopes to keep Greater Phoenix a visible entity. He encourages continuing to find ways to stay nimble and advance in electronic marketing by utilizing tools like social media, the Internet and electronic communications in our marketing efforts.

Kamenzind is a native of Pittsburgh and attended the University of Pittsburgh.

James Jesse, Jr., former Vice President of Sales embraces his promotion to Senior Vice President of Sales. Jesse has been with the Greater Phoenix CVB for the past 11 years previously as Director of Sales and National Sales Manager. His career spans for more than 15 years all dedicated to the convention and visitors industry. Jesse quotes his greatest achievement as, “The transformation to downtown Phoenix.” The past 5 years Jesse was instrumental in the revitalization of downtown Phoenix including the expansion of the LEED certified Phoenix Convention Center, addition of the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel (the largest hotel in Arizona with 1,000 rooms), as well as the expansion of Greater Phoenix’s resort product.

Jesse is a native to California and attended the University of Oregon.
