NCT is similar in style to “Whose Line is it Anyway”, comedians performing a series of games and scenes all based on audience suggestions. Barbeque Basics Class will provide secrets of sauces, rubs, and grill techniques. Guests to the event can also enjoy a cold beer from a local brewery, specialty cigars rolled on-site, homemade ice cream, whiskey floats, golf tips from pros at Troon North Golf Club and demonstrations and techniques by Executive Chef Mel Mecinas and Executive Sous Chef Jesse Hansen. The collection of eleven races all takes place in Peoria throughout the year. Runners who register for these events will earn points for participation and results. The top 100 point earners at the end of the Series calendar will receive an entry into a prize lottery. The Grand Prize for this year’s Runner’s Series will be airfare, hotel, and race entry fees for two to participate in the 2013 San Francisco Marathon in July, 2013.
