Father’s Day is Sunday, June 17th. Here’s a roundup of some fun things to do for Father’s Day in Greater Phoenix.

Father’s Day Comedy from National Comedy Theatre

Bring Dad to a spontaneous and interactive comedy show at 7:30 or 9:45 pm on a Friday or Saturday through June 15 and enter to win a round of golf for four at the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Resort. The winner will be chosen June 21. Tickets available online. National Comedy Theatre is spontaneous and interactive comedy shows. NCT is similar in style to “Whose Line is it Anyway”, comedians performing a series of games and scenes all based on audience suggestions. The venue is appropriate for all audiences and there is no drink or age minimum.

Barbeque Basics Class at the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North

Barbeque Basics Class will provide secrets of sauces, rubs, and grill techniques. Guests to the event can also enjoy a cold beer from a local brewery, specialty cigars rolled on-site, homemade ice cream, whiskey floats, golf tips from pros at Troon North Golf Club and demonstrations and techniques by Executive Chef Mel Mecinas and Executive Sous Chef Jesse Hansen. Everyone receives a recipe book, sample sauces and rubs and a cigar to take home. Reservations are required. Stay overnight on June 16 or 17, mention the rate code “DADBBQ,” and receive complimentary self-parking and a room upgrade.

Father’s Day Paddle at Tempe Town Lake

Spend this Father’s Day kayaking at Tempe Town Lake. Take Dad free when two additional family members register. No experience is needed to participate in the event. All participants must be 10 years of age or older. $30 for adult $10 for ages 10-15.

Father’s Day Musical Performances — Musical Instrument Museum

Live indoor musical performances, including father/son or father/daughter duos, as well as live painting by local artist. Specials on beer are available in the MIM Café and Coffee Shop.

This Father’s Day the restaurant will be serving their Special Father’s Day meal. The meal includes prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes and a choice of green beans or asparagus. Regular menu will also be available.

City of Peoria Father’s Day 4 Miler

Celebrate this Father’s Day with the family by participating in the Peoria’s first Father’s Day 4 Miler Run. The age groups include 13 & Under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 +. The run is a new addition to the Peoria Runner’s Series. The collection of eleven races all takes place in Peoria throughout the year. Runners who register for these events will earn points for participation and results. The top 100 point earners at the end of the Series calendar will receive an entry into a prize lottery. The Grand Prize for this year’s Runner’s Series will be airfare, hotel, and race entry fees for two to participate in the 2013 San Francisco Marathon in July, 2013.

Man Brunch at Octane Raceway

This Father’s Day, Sunday June 17th, celebrate at the Octane Raceway’s 3rd annual Father’s Day Man Brunch. Show your Dad that you appreciate all he does by treating him to the most exciting brunch experience of his life. Get one ProKart Race and brunch for only $22 per person. If your group of three or more is participating in the Father’s Day Man Brunch, Dad eats and races for free. (three or more paying, racing customers) Breakfast starts at 10 am, racing will start at 10:30 am.

Flemings Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar is providing an exceptional 3-course Father’s Day brunch. Father’s Day Sports Card Show

Dads can meet NFL Hall of Famer Mean Joe Greene, have their picture taken with the Pittsburgh Steelers legend and get his autograph. Dads can also browse 55 tables of sports cards and collectibles. Autograph tickets can be purchased online for dad to pick up at the will-call window. Only 200 tickets are available and begin at $85 for autographs on photos, footballs and mini helmets; full-size helmets or jerseys are $100.
