Go beyond the boxed chocolates with these sweet and savory Valentine’s Day cocktail recipes from local restaurants and resorts:

Cupid’s Arrow

  • .5 oz strawberry moonshine
  • 1 oz white chocolate strawberry simple syrup
  • Gruet Blanc de Blanc sparkling (from New Mexico)
  • Garnish with white chocolate drizzled strawberry

Add moonshine to champagne, slowly add syrup, garnish.

Eastern Raspberry Sidecar

  • 1 oz Germaine Robin Brandy
  • 1 oz Nigori Sake
  • 5 oz Cointreau
  • 5 oz lemon juice
  • 5 oz simple syrup
  • 7 raspberries

Muddle raspberries and add liquids. Add ice, shake and double strain. Serve with raspberry garnish in chilled martini glass.

Burning Romance

  • 2 oz Del Bac classic whisky (our your favorite whiskey or Scotch)
  • .75 oz Sweet Vermouth (Carpano Antica)
  • .75 oz hibiscus syrup
  • .75 oz raspberry puree
  • 2 dashes Mas Mole Bitters (AZ Bitter Lab)
  • 1 tbl lemon foam
  • As-needed fresh flower garnish (optional)
  • 4 each macerated raspberries garnish (optional)

Chill martini glass. In a beaker add ice, whisky, vermouth, raspberry puree, bitters. Stir until chilled and mixed. Strain into chilled glass. Add the foam into the glass and garnish as desired.

Kiss on the Lips

  • 2 oz Capel Pisco
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 3 ea fresh raspberry
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • .5 oz lemon juice

Top off with Lunetta and garnish with a lemon curl.

The Cupid Club

  • 2 oz Nolet’s Gin
  • .5 oz Rose tea*
  • .75 oz simple syrup
  • .75 oz lemon juice
  • 1 egg white
  • 4 raspberries

Muddle raspberries in bottom of mixing tin, and then combine the rest of the ingredients.  Shake the mixture without ice for 10 seconds and then shake again with ice for 6 seconds.  Double strain into cocktail glass and garnish with a rose petal or raspberries.

*Rose tea- any rose tea from the store should work here.  Steep the tea a couple minutes longer than the package tells you to reinforce the delicate tea flavor.  Pull out bags and let cool before using.

Amour Rouge

  • 1.25 oz. Cazadores Blanco Tequila
  • .75 oz. Chambord
  • .75 oz. Lime Juice
  • .5 oz. St. Germain Liqueur
  • Splash of Cranberry Juice

All Together Lovely

  • 2 oz Hendricks Gin
  • .75 oz elderflower liquor
  • .5 oz fresh lime juice
  • .5 oz simple syrup
  • Topped with 1/2 soda 1/2 sprite over edible orchid and cucumber infused ice cubes.

Cranberry Spiced Mojito

  • 2 oz Cruzan White Rum
  • One spoon of house-made cranberry sauce
  • 3 mint leaves
  • 1 oz spiced simple syrup
  • Juice from 1 slice of lime
  • Top with soda and Disaronno

The Last Thyme

  • 1 oz Nolet’s Silver Gin
  • .75 oz Raspberry Liqueur
  • .25 oz Yellow Chartreuse
  • .75 oz Simple Syrup (1:1)
  • .5 oz Fresh Lemon
  • 1 oz Sparkling Wine (Prosecco)

Combine ingredients in mixing tin, except sparkling wine. Shake with ice and strain up into coupe. Top with sparkling wine and garnish with fresh thyme sprig. Tip: rub thyme around rim of glass for more aromatics. Garnish with a fresh thyme sprig.

Raspberry Martini

  • 2.5 oz raspberry infused vodka
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 1/8 oz sweet vermouth
  • 1 oz cane syrup
  • 9 raspberries

Muddle 6 raspberries. Add remaining ingredients. Shake and strain into sweet vermouth rinsed martini glass. Garnish with remaining 3 raspberries.

Be Mine

  • 2 oz Strawberry Vodka
  • 1 oz strawberry puree
  • .5 oz grenadine
