Put these free concerts, a festival dedicated to top-notch cocktails and pool parties on your schedule. We’ve got the details on top things to do in Phoenix this weekend:
Chipotle Cultivate Festival
Chipotle’s throwing a food and music festival starring celebrity chefs, local breweries and restaurateurs, and performances by Young the Giant, Echosmith and Lukas Graham. Entrance is free (thanks, Chipotle!) and you’ll have an opportunity to grab burritos, guac and more goodies throughout the event.
Chandler Craft Spirits Festival
Two parts sampling, one part demos, and a dash of giveaways: The recipe for this Craft Spirits Festival features flavors and entertainment for casual sippers and cocktail connoisseurs alike.
2855 W. Queen Creek Road, Chandler 85248
Vestar Chalk Art Festival
Local artists will transform marketplace spaces into imaginative, 8-foot murals. Take a peek at the pros at work, and if you’re feeling inspired, add your own chalky masterpiece. Each of three event locations (Westgate Entertainment District, Tempe Marketplace, and Desert Ridge Marketplace) will feature art and KidZone entertainment.
International Jazz Day at CityScape
Jazz Day sounds off across the world this Saturday, and Downtown Phoenix is getting into the spirit with a celebration and performance series at CityScape. Local trumpeter Jessie McGuire headlines a lineup of a dozen accomplished artists.
1 E Washington St, Phoenix 85004
Pool Parties and River Tubing
If the water beckons during this sunny spring weekend, we’ve got you covered. Make a splash at Wet Electric‘s waterpark EDM festival on Saturday, or catch DJs at back-to-back Release pool parties Saturday and Sunday. It’s also the opening day and anniversary celebration for Salt River Tubing, when river-goers are encouraged to dress in their best rodeo get-ups and relax as they float downstream.
