Whether you’re looking to pick up unique holiday gifts or just take time to unwind, we’ve got something for you in our top things to do this weekend in Phoenix:
Las Noches de las Luminarias at Desert Botanical Garden: December 19-23, 26-30
At this long-running holiday tradition, enjoy a stroll through the scenic garden as it’s lit by the glow of 8,000 luminarias. Tickets are still available for the final two weekends, but it’s best to reserve your spot early before they sell out.
Hear Them Ring at Musical Instrument Museum: December 20-21
The halls of MIM will be filled with the festive sounds of holiday bells throughout the weekend. In addition to the hand bell performances, there will be instrument-making workshops and a special menu at the museum’s Cafe Allegro.
A Big Band Christmas Revue at the Farm at South Mountain: December 20
Strap on you dancin’ shoes and cut a rug in The Farm’s pecan grove. This free, family-friendly event features The Upper East Side Big Band performing swing dance holiday tunes. We recommend grabbing lunch at The Farm Kitchen while you’re there.
Glendale Glitters: Through January 10
The spectacular Glendale Glitters returns with more than 1.5 million holiday lights illuminating 16 blocks of historic downtown Glendale. This weekend also features dance performances, live music, free make-and-take crafts, and a nightly showing of the classic A Christmas Story.
Southbridge Sunday Artisan Market: Every Sunday
Soak in some December sunshine with an afternoon on the Scottsdale Waterfront while perusing the goods from dozens of local artisans.
