Tempe Fall Festival of the Arts

The weather’s pleasantly cool, the sun’s shining and more than 400 vendors are setting up shop for a three-day outdoor festival along Tempe’s Mill Avenue. Whether you’re looking for big-budget masterpieces or an affordable gift, the artisans’ booths offer a diversity of arts and crafts. You can also enjoy local beer, wine and a festival food court, or snap a photo of street performances or contestants’ creations at the chalk mural contest.

One of Phoenix’s oldest historic neighborhoods is dressed up for the holidays and open for tours. Visit Saturday evening, and you’ll also be treated to caroling and luminarias-lined streets. Sunday morning and afternoon, the tours continue next to a holiday street market with gift and food vendors.

Taste of Arizona

Think you can handle another feast after Thanksgiving last week? Then head to Taste of Arizona, a food truck sampling event offering everything from BBQ, poutine and pizza to waffles, crepes and cupcakes. Admission includes access to purchasing food from the trucks and a beer and wine garden, plus a kid’s zone, chef demos and music.
