This weekend is your last chance to see a popular art exhibit, and beer and wine fans both have a big event to look forward to. Check out all our top things to do in Phoenix this weekend:
Chihuly in the Garden’s final weekend: Through May 18
This weekend is your last chance to marvel at Dale Chihuly’s glass sculptures on display throughout the Desert Botanical Garden. See the sculptures illuminated after dark with extended nighttime viewing opportunities Thursday-Sunday. As an added bonus, the garden has extended their spring butterfly exhibit through the end of this weekend.
Ameri-CAN Canned Craft Beer Festival: May 17
If anyone tells you no good beer comes in a can, this is the place to prove them wrong. More than 250 craft breweries from around the country will be on hand with samples of their canned creations. The festival’s winning beers have already been announced, but you can decide which ones are your favorite this Saturday.
Spring Arizona Restaurant Week: May 17-26
No more putting off that restaurant you’ve been dying to try. Arizona Restaurant Week is the perfect time to get out and expand your culinary horizons as more than 120 restaurants will be offering their culinary creations at big savings. Each participating spot will be offering a $30 or $40 three-course prix fixe menu. Some spots even throw in a drink to sweeten the deal. See a full list of participating restaurants here.
Urban Wine Walk: May 17
Grab some friends, put on your walking shoes, and head downtown for the Urban Wine Walk. Skip around downtown and midtown as participating restaurants will be offering $2-$3 wine samples. Plot out your day with this map and walk, bike, take a cab or ride the light rail around downtown.
Children’s Museum of Phoenix: Tuesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
For a family-friendly activity, head to downtown’s Children’s Museum of Phoenix. In addition to all their exhibits that kids love, this weekend also features art studio projects each day, live music on Saturday, and kids yoga on Sunday.
