It was inevitable: 100-degree days have arrived. Fret not, because we’ve got ways to stay cool both indoors and outside with our top things to do in Phoenix this weekend:

Phoenix Comicon: May 28-31
Get your geek on at this pop culture extravangaza. Some of the stars scheduled to appear this year include Alyson Hannigan (How I Met Your Mother, Buffy), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy), David Morrissey (The Walking Dead), Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) and many, many more. Get your passes here.

The Pancakes and Booze Art Show: May 29
More than 50 of Phoenix’s up-and-coming artists will be showing off their work at downtown’s The Duce Friday night. Live body painting, a live art battle, and audio and visual performances are all part of the festivities. And, as the name says, there will be pancakes and booze. All-you-can-eat pancakes, in fact.

Take a staycation
Well, we enjoyed those unseasonably cool temperatures while we could but summer has officially arrived in the desert. Keep cool with a day (or two) by the pool at a local resort while taking advantage of their summer deals.

Hotel Valley Ho is one of the local spots offering summer savings.

Lemonade Days and Summer Splash: May 30
Kick off summer with a day of family fun out east at Queen Creek’s Founders Park. The day kicks off with Summer Splash activities for the kids in the morning then the Lemonade Days celebration in the afternoon. Live music from Reel Big Fish, food trucks, a beer garden, games, splash pads, and more are part of the fun.

Visit the Phoenix Art Museum
Haven’t been to the art museum recently? Then head there this weekend and check out some of the newer exhibits—such as Hidden Histories in Latin American Art—and don’t miss the Andy Warhol portraits exhibition before it’s gone in a few weeks.
