The festival kicks off Thursday at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts before heading to Harkins Theatres’ Shea 14 for the remaining dates. The festival will close out Monday night with the Oscar-buzzy Wild, starring Reese Witherspoon.

Oktoberfest at Tempe Town Lake: October 10-12
Octoberfest at Salt River Fields: October 11
Two of the season’s biggest Oktoberfests go down this weekend at Tempe Town Lake and Salt River Fields.

Tempe Town Lake’s festival is hosted by Four Peaks Brewing Company (pumpkin porter!) and offers free admission. The three-day fest features live music, carnival rides, wiener dog races, a 5K/10K run, a kids zone and more. At Salt River Fields, guest can show off their cornhole skills for a chance at cash prizes, or get in on a dodgeball or beach volleyball tournament.

And, of course, the beer and bratwursts will be flowing at both.
