Cowboys and zombies both have a place to party this weekend, plus Halloweens fests and more are in our top things to do this weekend in Phoenix:

Halloween Balloon Spooktacular (October 25-26)
More than 20 hot air balloons will light up the sky and take you on tethered rides at this family-friendly event. Enjoy live music, food and drinks, fireworks and a haunted house fit for all. Make sure the kids bring a sturdy bag as there will be nearly one ton of candy for trick-or-treaters!

Dia de los Muertos PHX (October 27) Celebrate the Day of the Dead in authentic fashion at downtown Phoenix’s Dia de los Muertos PHX. The free festival features more than 60 entertainers devoted to practicing Dia de Los Muertos traditions. After enjoying a day of entertainment, food, music and more, attendees are welcome to participate in the La Procesión, the traditional candlelit procession that culminates the festivities.

Zombie Walk 5 (October 26)
The dead will rise in downtown Phoenix on Saturday! Or at least people in elaborate zombie makeup. The family-friendly undead event kicks off at 2 p.m. with vendors, family activities and music in Heritage Square Park. When the sun goes down, the zombie horde will take to the streets of downtown for a mile-long shuffle. Just keep an eye out for the Department of Zombie Defense.
