Midwestern University will once again host The Arizona Winds ever-popular “Christmas Reflections”.
As the audience has come to expect, the “Christmas Reflections” program will be fun for all ages and a fitting way to kick off the Christmas season. Selections will include traditional favorites, some new surprises, a Christmas Carol sing-along and a special young guest conductor selected from the audience. “Over the years, we have had a lot or requests to bring back the powerful and stirring Russian Christmas Music composed by Alfred Reed”, said the band’s Music Director and Conductor Rich Shelton. “Other selections will include a clever medley of Christmas tunes set in the style of Mozart, a unique arrangement titled Peter Patapan, a jazzy medley of old Christmas favorites written by renowned composer Sammy Nestico, a beautifully orchestrated Holy Night, Silent Night, a couple of fast-paced and exciting rollicks in the snow, and much more”, continued Shelton.
