Drop-In Discovery on Maricopa Pottery

Join Ron Carlos, Maricopa Potter, for a demonstration about the process of making pottery on the back patio at Pueblo Grande Museum. Discover the many steps involved from clay sourcing, processing raw clay, forming, painting, and finally the firing process. Guests will also enjoy a demonstration of the paddle and anvil technique, which is a style of pottery making indicative of many of the southern Arizona tribes.

Drop-In Discovery programs are on the third Sunday of the month from November through April from 1 to 3 p.m. These informal programs are included with paid Museum admission with children ages 17 and under free on Sundays!
