Drop-In Discovery with Phoenix Herpetological Society

Discover the native reptiles of Arizona with the Phoenix Herpetological Society (PHS) during their Drop-In Discovery at Pueblo Grande Museum on November 18.

This is a great chance to meet a variety of desert reptiles to view and interact with - nonvenomous snakes, a tortoise and possibly other reptiles! PHS will share with guests how to be safe in the desert with proper procedures for rattlesnake encounters, how to prevent and treat a bite, and explain the difference between Gila Monsters and other native lizards etc.  The best way to change minds about reptiles is through education and opportunities to interact with them! Also, guests can learn more about the PHS, their forever home reptile housing facility, and their mission to educate people on responsible pet ownership and the importance of conservation.

Drop-In Discovery programs are on the third Sunday of the month from November through April from 1 to 3 p.m. These informal educational programs are included with regular Museum admission, with children ages 17 and under FREE on Sundays!
