An exhibit featuring more than 10,000 square feet of full-sized replicas of Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel frescoes is coming to downtown Phoenix for a three-month run. Beginning Friday, Nov. 20, and running through February 14, 2010, Valley residents and visitors will be able to escape to the Vatican City—in a safe, socially-distanced way—without ever leaving town to experience an Italian Renaissance masterpiece reproduced using state-of-the-art technology. The exhibit will include 34 panels of frescos that adorn the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican, including masterpieces like The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgement. The exhibit will be open daily, except Tuesdays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets may be purchased in advance or same day. General admission: $18 with discounts for senior citizens, children and families.
