Golf

It’s no secret that Phoenix and Scottsdale boast some of the top-rated golf courses in the world year after year. This is your opportunity to enjoy them.

Part of the experience is the playability, part is the environment. At We-Ko-Pa Golf Club, Bill Coore and Bob Crenshaw designed the Saguaro course, and Scott Miller designed the Cholla course, both the favorites of golf editors, pros and leisure players. But the biggest challenge is keeping your eye on the ball, with the McDowell Mountains and Four Peaks ranges providing an amazing view in the middle of the desert.

Troon North Golf Club has two courses designed by Tom Weiskopf that slope through natural ravines by Pinnacle Peak in north Scottsdale, and the desert landscape throughout is picturesque.

If you want to try your hand at the pro’s course, head to TPC Scottsdale and play the Stadium Course designed by Jay Moorish and Tom Weiskopf, specifically for the legendary Waste Management Phoenix Open. If you prefer to be a spectator at the big event each winter– also known as the most-attended golf tournament on the PGA Tour every year – check out the lively crowd on the 16th hole.

Troon North Golf Club

Troon North Golf Club is a paragon of desert golf. Its two Tom Wesikopf-designed courses snake through natural ravines in the shadow of Pinnacle Peak.
