Back to Top of List

ASUPROX is Arizona State University’s flagship music industry conference, a convergence of music, technology, innovation and business designed to bring people closer to what’s next in the industry and their careers.

Hosted by the Popular Music program at ASU’s state-of-the-art facilities in Downtown Phoenix, ASUPROX brings together artists, creative leaders, entrepreneurs, technologists and industry decision-makers to explore how music is created, distributed, experienced and scaled in today’s rapidly evolving landscape.

Formerly known as the Music Industry Career Conference (MICC), ASUPROX has grown into one of the region’s most influential creative arts gatherings.

Built on the belief that proximity is power, ASUPROX connects emerging talent and established leaders to the ideas, tools and relationships shaping the future of music and creative expression.

Whether you’re an emerging creator, student, professional or partner, ASUPROX is designed to meet you where you are and help you take your next step. This year’s programming pillars are:

  • Technology and innovation: Using new tools and tech to shape the future of music creation, performance and business.
  • Creative development: Turning local creative talent into clear, competitive, career-ready artistry.
  • Infrastructure: Management, publishing, labels and business development — building the business systems that turn talent into sustainable careers.
  • Live events and performance: How Phoenix’s live music economy creates real careers across touring, venues and production.
  • House of worship: Worship music as a professional training ground and career pipeline for modern musicians and production teams.
