Chandler

The East Valley suburb of Chandler is within a stone's throw of some of Greater Phoenix's best attractions, but you can also find plenty of worthwhile things to do in Chandler itself. Like several of its neighboring cities, Chandler boasts some of the city's most popular breweries. There's SanTan Brewing Co., one of Arizona's largest breweries, which offers tours of its brewing and distilling, as well as delicious food to pair with some of our favorite local beers, such as the summer-friendly Mr. Pineapple. For an unorthodox drinking experience, go check out The Perch Brewery, a local brewpub that's also part-aviary, where you can enjoy your food and drink alongside exotic birds. 

The fun doesn't just stop at breweries in Chandler. Head to the Radford Racing School, where you can try your hand with professional level racecar driving, or spend a day in the Old West at Rawhide Western Town & Event Center, which also hosts large scale concerts throughout the year. Find shops galore at the Chandler Fashion Center mall, or if you're with the whole family, have your little ones make you a masterpiece with hundreds upon hundreds of crayons at the Crayola Experience. 

No need to leave Chandler after a long day of adventure either: the historic Crowne Plaza Phoenix Chandler Golf Resort is not only a stellar place to relax, but it's an amazing to get out on the greens for a round of golf at the San Marcos Golf Course as well.
