Phoenix Mercury Game Day Guide

Phoenix takes its sports seriously, and there's no better place to experience that energy than at a Phoenix Mercury game. The Mercury, playing at the Footprint Center, is a powerhouse team with a passionate fan base. Since their inception in 1997, the team has clinched three WNBA championships (2007, 2009, and 2014) and has consistently been a top contender in the league. On July 20, 2024, Phoenix will host the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game at Footprint Center.

  • Getting There: Whether you’re driving or taking public transportation, getting to the Footprint Center is convenient. If you’re driving, there are several parking structures nearby, though street parking can be limited. For those using the Valley Metro Light Rail, the 3rd St. and Washington St./Jefferson St. stops are right next to the arena. Fares from Valley Metro cover both buses and trains. Currently, an all-day ticket will run you $4.00.

  • Arrival Time: Arrive early to soak in the pre-game atmosphere, including fan experiences and promotions. The Mercury games are known for their high production value, so you won’t want to miss a moment, especially the hype team, the half-time show, and their mascot, Scorch!

  • Community Engagement: The Mercury is deeply involved in the local community. Their initiatives, such as the Phoenix Mercury Foundation and Bring Our Families Home, highlight their commitment to making a positive impact beyond the basketball court. Majerle's Sports Grill

Owned by former Phoenix Suns standout Dan Majerle, a Sun’s Ring of Honor inductee and (more recently) head men’s basketball coach at Grand Canyon University, the downtown sports bar has been a fan favorite since it opened in 1992.
