Northeast Valley 

The Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community in the Scottsdale area is where to find Casino Arizona, which has over 100,000 square feet of gaming. Also in the area is Talking Stick Resort is a luxury hotel known for not only its gaming, but its spa, entertainment, pools, and concerts. Talking Stick is also known for housing one of the largest collections of American Indian artwork outside of a museum. Further north is the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, home to the Fort McDowell Casino, We-Ko-Pa Resort and We-Ko-Pa Golf Club

Southeast Valley 

The Gila River Indian Community in Chandler is home to Wild Horse Pass Casino, which also boasts the Phoenix Premium Outlets shopping center and the Aji Spa at Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass, where you can also find Kai, one of Phoenix's best spots for fine dining. The Lone Butte Casino next door is a hot spot for bingo, cards, slots and other games.

West Valley 

In Laveen, the Vee Quiva Hotel & Casino is a Four Diamond awarded hotel with 90 boutique rooms with five dining options, including George Lopez's Chingon Kitchen. The Desert Diamond Casino is located in Glendale's Westgate Entertainment District, home to shopping, nightlife, concerts, and the stadiums for the state's NFL and NHL teams, the Arizona Cardinals and Arizona Coyotes.

Casinos Near Phoenix


Harrah's Ak-Chin Hotel & Casino is less than 40 miles from downtown Phoenix, and has a 12-story hotel tower. It is also the only casino in Arizona with a World Series of Poker room.

 

What to Know:

  • The minimum age to gamble in Arizona is 21.
  • All Greater Phoenix casinos are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Most casinos offer an all-you-can-eat buffet, along with fine dining and casual options. 
  • Kids are welcome in the hotel, pool, dining area, and entertainment venues, but are not allowed in the gaming areas.
  • Several casinos offer a free shuttle service. Check their websites to find bus schedule and pick up locations.
  • Many casinos feature performances by live musicians, tribute bands, and comedians throughout the week.  
  • Many casinos allow smoking indoors as The Smoke Free Arizona Act does not apply on Indian reservations.
