The Mesa Arizona Temple Visitors' Center and gardens welcome over one million guests each year. These include many who come to view the spectacular Christmas lights display and the world's largest Easter Pageant. The Visitors' Center is open every day 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Numerous exhibits and state-of-the-art displays explain what members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe in, including the history and purpose of temples, and the eternal nature of families. There is a 3D scale model of the Mesa Temple, and upstairs is a display where visitors learn more about their relationship with God and Jesus Christ. There is also a research area full of computer work stations and helpers where guests can work at their own pace researching, adding to their family history, and connecting and expanding their family tree. There is a fun children’s play area, with interactive activities; a hang out room for teens; a community section, with beautiful displays explaining the historical origins of the area; and a coloring wall for all ages. An interactive justserve.org screen allows visitors to locate local community service opportunities. Other areas include video rooms designed to teach and inspire as well as individual reflection pods for anyone desiring a quiet place.
