July 14 and 15
Beat the heat and immerse yourself in sounds that originated in Arizona's own backyard. The Musical Instrument Museum invites you to learn about the state's musical style and influences through workshops, live performances, and hands-on activities.
Daily through September 4
The Arizona Science Center's newest exhibit will have you seeing double as you navigate your way through one of the largest mirror maze in the state. This interactive and immersive gallery sends you through twists, turns, and dead ends until reaching a secret room with bonus puzzles and artifacts.
Saturday's through September 1
The Desert Botanical Garden invites you to experience the sights, sounds and mysteries of the desert after dark each Saturday night of the summer. Beam your flashlight toward the trail as you stroll the desert paths to capture night-blooming plants and get up-close with desert critters.
Dive into the weekend as Downtown Phoenix transforms into a free urban water park on July 14th. Lather up with sunscreen before cooling off in the splash pad, racing down water slides, or relaxing in the shade. Cool off, chill out, and learn about water safety just in time to kick off summertime in Phoenix.
There's snow in the forecast this July at The Phoenix Zoo. As temperatures heat up, the park becomes a winter wonderland with 50 tons of fresh powder, ice treats for the animals, winter-themed games, and more. All activities are included in zoo admission.
Food and Drink
Everyday feels like National Hot Dog Day at Short Leash Hot Dogs, so you can only imagine the celebration to be had for the real deal. Local Phoenix restaurants and chefs offer samples of their best creations all night in an attempt to be crowned the "Wurst Weiner" (and by "wurst" they mean best). Sip on cold beer, watch performances from local comedians, and witness a pun competition all while enjoying your favorite frankfurters.
The Phoenix Convention Center welcomes fresh flavors and seasonal sips from over 65 breweries at the Real, Wild, and Woody Beer Festival. The event showcases cask-conditioned and barrel aged unconventional brews that you won't find anywhere else. Eat, drink, and even dance in a silent disco all while sampling unique flavor combinations. Tickets are limited, so grab yours now.
