Arizona Gay Rodeo

February | Laveen | Corona Ranch and Rodeo Grounds

The annual Arizona Gay Rodeo will takes place each February at the Corona Ranch and Rodeo Grounds in Laveen, Arizona. As an IGRA-sanctioned event, it attracts hundreds of participants and spectators each year. The rodeo features unique traditions such as steer decorating, the wild drag race, and goat dressing competitions, along with classic rodeo events like bull riding, steer riding, chute dogging, calf roping on foot, mounted breakaway roping, barrel racing, pole bending, flag racing, and team roping.

Rodeo Scottsdale (Annual Parada Del Sol Rodeo)

March | Scottsdale | Westworld of Scottsdale

Known as the Parada Del Sol Rodeo, this PRCA-sanctioned event in the "West’s Most Western Town" spans four days each year. Thursday nights feature an exclusive bull riding-only performance, showcasing both seasoned professionals and rising future world champions. The rodeo continues on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with performances dedicated to the eight classic professional rodeo events: Saddle Bronc, Bareback Bronc, Tie Down Roping, Barrel Racing, Steer Wrestling, Breakaway Roping, Team Roping, and Bull Riding. Each performance lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours. Enjoy additional entertainment and laughter with PRCA Specialty Acts and the PRCA Rodeo Clown throughout the event.

 

Cave Creek Rodeo Days

For over 45 years, the sport of rodeo has thrived in the Sonoran Desert. The Cave Creek Rodeo features a parade, mutton bustin', rodeo dances, a cornhole tournament, the thrilling All Bulls, All Night event, and three action-packed days of PRCA rodeo performances. This weeklong celebration beautifully showcases the Western heritage of this Arizona town.

Feel the heart-pounding excitement as the PBR Rodeo returns to Queen Creek for an action-packed showcase of Western sports and entertainment. Watch some of the sport's most talented bull riders go head-to-head with powerful bucking bulls in a thrilling test of skill, courage, and determination. Fans can experience the energy of live rodeo competition, family-friendly entertainment, and the authentic spirit of the American West. 

 

Willcox West Fest Ranch Rodeo & Chuck Wagon Cook-Off

The Willcox West Fest Ranch Rodeo & Chuck Wagon Cook-Off is an annual event that celebrates the rich western heritage of Willcox, Arizona. This weekend of family fun includes country music, western vendors, a rodeo, and a chuck wagon cook-off. Known as the "Cattle Capital of the Country" from the 1880s to the 1930s, Willcox shipped more cattle directly from the range than anywhere else. Embracing its historical roots, the event offers a variety of activities that highlight the Old West lifestyle, featuring demonstrations, exhibits, entertainment, and vendors.

Prescott Frontier Days®: World's Oldest Rodeo®

Since 1888, Prescott Frontier Days®, Inc. has hosted the annual World’s Oldest Rodeo® at the Prescott Rodeo Grounds. The event features exciting competitions such as steer wrestling, bareback riding, tie-down roping, women’s breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, team roping, women’s barrel racing, bull riding, and more.

The birth of professional rodeo can be traced back to July 4, 1888, when a group of merchants and professional businessmen in Prescott, Arizona, organized the first formalized "cowboy tournament" with cash prizes. Juan Leivas won rodeo’s first professional title, as reported in the Arizona Journal-Miner. These “Cowboy Contests” continued under the planning and promotion of a committee of local merchants. Since then, rodeo has evolved into a multimillion-dollar enterprise with more than 700 professional rodeos across 50 states.

 

World's Oldest Continuous Rodeo - Payson

Payson proudly hosts the World's Oldest Continuous Rodeo every August at the Payson Event Center. Each year, the rodeo is filled with special events for the whole family, including a parade, mutton bustin', live music, and delicious food. Despite the rich heritage and history, the Payson Pro Rodeo consistently delivers some of the best rodeos in the country.

For over 140 years, the World's Oldest Continuous Rodeo has remained a beloved tradition. The August rodeo is known for being one of the best small-town rodeos in the world. From bull riding to team roping, the weekend is packed with family fun and thrilling bucking broncos. You can expect a full PRCA rodeo featuring events such as bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping, barrel racing, women's breakaway, mutton bustin', and junior steer riding.

 

Arizona Black Rodeo

Join thousands of passionate rodeo fans for an event that showcases both local and national African-American rodeo competitors while embracing the rich traditions of Western heritage at The Arizona Black Rodeo. This thrilling rodeo features events such as bull riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, ranch bronc riding, ladies steer undecorating, ladies barrel racing, relay races, and fan favorites like mutton bustin' and the calf scramble for the kids. The mission of Black Rodeo USA is to celebrate our rich Black and African-American history & culture, and to create memories. 

Navajo County Fair & Rodeo

September | Holbrook

For the past 100 years, the Navajo County Fair & Rodeo has been hosting one of the greatest events on dirt. Rodeo contestants often have the chance to qualify for the American Rodeo and advance to the Las Vegas West Regionals Semi-Finals. Placing at the Navajo County Fair & Rodeo secures their spot at the Semi-Finals in Las Vegas, bringing them one step closer to competing in the American Rodeo and the opportunity to win the million-dollar prize.

 

Ridge Rider Days

October | Glendale

PBR Teams is back in Glendale, bringing the excitement of professional bull riding's premier team competition to the Valley. Cheer on the hometown Arizona Ridge Riders as they take on seven of the league's top teams in a high-energy showdown for the Ridge Rider Days title. Fans can experience three days of world-class bull riding, intense rivalries, and edge-of-your-seat action as elite riders and powerful bulls compete in one of the sport's most electrifying formats. 

 

Turquoise Circuit Finals

November | Cave Creek

At the conclusion of the regular season, top competitors from each event qualify to compete at their circuit finals rodeos. Champions from each of the circuit finals, as well as the overall year-end winners from each circuit, are then invited to compete in the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeos (RNCFR) championships. Comprised of rodeos and athletes in New Mexico and Arizona, the Turquoise Circuit Finals is part of the circuit system devised by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. The TCF is a championship event.  

 

Hondo Rodeo Fest

November | Phoenix

The Hondo Rodeo Fest provides unique experience for competitors, musicians and fans alike in a one of a kind format at Chase Field. In an innovative combination of music and rodeo, fans will experience three nights of rodeo action & live music. Past artist line-ups include stars like Hank Williams Jr., Whiskey Myers, Brooks & Dunn, Turnpike Troubadours, Zac Brown Band, Old Dominion, Nickelback, Treaty Oak Revival, Jason Aldean, Riley Green, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Parker McCollum, Miranda Lambert, Lynard Synyrd, and more. The Hondo Rodeo Fest has a $1 million purse.
